AquaticsOur YMCA is considered the aquatics leader in the community and offers quality swim programs at nine locations throughout three counties. Teaching kids to swim is saving lives and the YMCA is committed to giving instruction to over 3,000 children yearly in organized lessons. The YMCA is also proud of our first-class swim team, which is consistently nationally ranked.
Swim LessonsSwim lessons are offered at the Reading YMCA, Adamstown YMCA, Tri Valley YMCA and Tamaqua YMCA. As a YMCA member of one of our branches, you will receive discounted fees for all swim lesson classes. Contact your YMCA for additional information. Contact your local YMCA for the latest fees. Open/Lap SwimAssociation-wide YMCA members have full access to the aquatic center at the Reading YMCA. The Reading YMCA pool is open for open/lap swim throughout the week. Refer to pool schedule for days and times. Children 8 years old and under and all non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older for open swim.
