The YMCA partners with YMCAs in Hannover, Germany; and Ivanovo, Russia. These partnerships are a collaborative effort to offer services to individuals in need on an international basis and provide opportunities for youth and staff exchanges both here and abroad. YMCA International Committee
The International Committee works to foster international understanding, support our partner YMCAs in Hannover, Germany and Ivanovo, Russia, send Berks County teens to Y camps overseas and support international campers visiting Berks County.
The Baby University program is a school readiness class for parents of children 0 to 3 years of age. The program consists of weekly group classes for 10 weeks and is supplemented with a home visit from Baby University staff each week. Classes and home visits help parents build on their knowledge and experience and provides important tools and information about effective parenting strategies, further developing their confidence and competence as their child´s first and most important teacher. AN EVENING ON THE MOUNTAINThanks to everyone who came out in support of International activities of the YMCA. We support youth with international camperships, host foreign guests, promote Y World Service projects and sustain our YMCA partners in Hannover, Germany and Ivanovo, Russia. Making a difference in our community and around the world.
